Vulgarian Release Debut Album ‘Human Scum’
“Human Scum” is the debut album of Denver hardcore sludge band Vulgarian, within each track is a tirade against racism, corruption, police and state violence, and the overall erosion of individual rights, and is the culmination of Vulgarian‘s four years of railing against the political and cultural hellscape that has unfolded in the wake of the election of Donald Trump. Vulgarian was formed the day after the 2016 election with one simple goal: injecting a stiff dose of politically-charged, old-school hardcore punk back into the sludge metal genre. Veering between disorientingly slow tempos to aggressive and upbeat sections, the album captures the rising tensions and dystopian decay of the past few years of American life.
