The Softer Side‘s latest EP, 2024’s Deathbed is a treat for longtime fans and new listeners discovering them for the first time. It showcases six songs blending skate punk, pop punk, rock, folk and metal influences. Deathbed offers an emotional, immersive auditory experience, combining raw storytelling with infectious punk rock energy. 2013’s Rise From The Embers features well-crafted songs with catchy and meaningful lyrics. Skate punk, pop punk, and melodic rock vibes permeate this EP. This release also featured Peter Mosley (Yellowcard / Inspection 12) on bass guitar.

“‘Deathbed’ and ‘Rise from the Embers’ mark two key moments in our journey as a band. ‘Deathbed’ being more of an intense and reflective journey lyrically and musically, akin to where we are at this point in our lives, while ‘Rise from the Embers’ takes us back to the high-energy skate punk and pop punk that defined our early years, but with greater sincerity and polish. It’s really amazing that we now have both of these EPs packaged together on vinyl for everyone to experience.” (guitarist Scott Sugarman)
