The Creature Comfort Release New Single ‘Cool Spot’

Manchester’s The Creature Comfort have revealed their new single ‘Cool Spot‘ in advance of their sophomore album that is set for release in the autumn. Opening with tribal beats and reverb-heavy guitars, the opening words ‘World is crazy, heating up / So many people, nobody listening’ seem prescient in the current climate as does the chorus where the narrator seeks to ‘Find myself a cool spot / Hanging out with my friends / No more trouble in my mind’. The central theme of psychic or physical refuge is developed over increasingly intense verses that lead to a full-on ending and a plea that ‘We can make it right if we just forget / The money money money and the guns’.
