Rebellion Festival Goes Online From Tomorrow

As with everything that we were looking forward to this year, the Rebellion Festival is cancelled but it will return next year for the festival’s 25th anniversary. However, all is not lost as the Rebellion Festival is still going ahead online via their Facebook page but this will not be a 4 day live stream, instead the festival has curated a unique collection of content, so from 11:45 tomorrow you can pour a drink and dip in and out of their Facebook page where every half hour they will be posting a different video. The Rebellion Festival has also released a unique set of merchandise which will help recoup the losses from this years cancellation.

Between 11:45 on Thursday the 6th August and midnight on Sunday 9th August here will be 105 videos giving you over 25 hours of footage to watch over the weekend. Some videos are over half an hour long, some are 5 minutes, giving you a chance to get a beer and nibbles. Just like the Rebellion Festival there will be something for everyone, having Facebook posts throughout the day gives you the chance to pick and choose what you want to see of the online Rebellion Festival, much like the weekend itself. No need to scroll through a live stream to find the artist you want that might appear 6 hours in! It’s also great for all of the Rebellion Festival‘s friends in different time zones.

You’ll need to come and visit the Rebellion Festival Facebook page everytime you want to see a new post as it won’t always appear your feed. As the online fest is taking place on Facebook you don’t need an account or a subscription to view it, it’s open to everyone for free to make a weekend that should have one of the UK punk scene’s annual highlights a little more bearable.
