On January 15th Peter Hook & The Light will present a never before seen full concert stream of the Mexico City show from their 2014 world tour, which took place at a sold out Jose Cuervo Salon on November 2nd, a date otherwise known as the ‘Day of the Dead’ in Mexico. The band perform both classic Joy Division albums live and in full, “Live in Mexico City” is a one-off, global streaming event, and also includes some of Joy Division’s classic non-album singles and B-sides as part of a 2 hour, 25 track setlist. In keeping with ‘Day of the Dead’ traditions in Mexico, the stage features a special tribute or ‘ofrenda’ to the late Ian Curtis. All proceeds from this concert stream will go to supporting Peter Hook & The Light’s touring crew to help them through the coronavirus pandemic.
