The first release by Manchester’s Furrowed Brow, the five track “Dead Dead Dead Still Digging” EP, is a contradictory affair that is simultaneously bleak and glamourous, bewildered, brazen and ethereal. Furrowed Brow are a band that tell it like it is with a sardonic smile and through meaningful lyrics that are accompanied by spartan guitar, queer synth and snappy drums with disco basslines and campfire choruses.
