The song starts in high energy, eager for revelry and vices. A killer guitar solo separates verses, breaking up the space between stages of inebriation as we witness his downward spiral. It finally becomes most obvious when towards the end of the song, the track begins to melt and warp, becoming slow and serious and groggy as he finally crashes. Frontman Chris Carpenter drew on his own personal experiences to document his experiences with drug abuse and the cycle it drew him into, from feeling like he could take on the world to the depths of a hangover and withdrawals.
