Crash & The Crapenters Are “All Geared Up” On New Single

All Geared Up isn’t just Crash and the Crapenters latest single, it’s a story in four acts you can tap your foot to and providing yet another taste of their upcoming EP, Species Du Faeces, that is due out early next year, Crash and the Crapenters are adding yet another punk rock gem to the pool room. All Geared Up is a bender in four acts, exploring the rise and the fall and scrutinizing Australia’s drug culture through the lense of energetic vocals and guitar riffs. The song starts in high energy, eager for revelry and vices. A killer guitar solo separates verses, breaking up the space between stages of inebriation as we witness his downward spiral. It finally becomes most obvious when towards the end of the song, the track begins to melt and warp, becoming slow and serious and groggy as he finally crashes. Frontman Chris Carpenter drew on his own personal experiences to document his experiences with drug abuse and the cycle it drew him into, from feeling like he could take on the world to the depths of a hangover and withdrawals.
