On the eve on their May 2026 European Tour, NYC's SHEER TERROR have released their new single, Squat Diddler, that…
Carnival Crash was a relatively short-lived band whose members scattered into a who’s who of NYC post-punk bands, including Swans, Live Skull, Ritual Tension, Chavez, Sulfur, The Heroine Sheiks, Scarcity Of Tanks and Sugartime. All the players had been on board with the first wave of punk, but were now searching beyond that for something different in New York City, which, by 1980, was turning in a new direction. Without trying too hard to be earnest, and not lacking a sense of humor, the newly formed band had a certain darkness and intensity. Their legacy of recordings are now compiled on “It Is A Happy Man”, the compilation brings together the results of the band’s only two recording sessions from the early 80’s before they split in 1982.
“It Is A Happy Man” is now available on CD, vinyl and digital formats via Obelisk Records
