California’s Bloodguilt is making crushing music for oldheads and newcomers alike. With over thirty years in hardcore and alternative rock, Bloodguilt‘s members have spent time playing in bands such as Taken, Stavesacre, Focused, Project 86 and Starflyer 59. Today, Bloodguilt have shared their debut single, Straight Forward, and have announced that a self titled EP will be released this Spring via New Age Records. Self-recorded and then mixed by Beau Burchell (Saosin), the Bloodguilt EP is five direct, rapid and pissed off tracks.
Straight Forward serves as the perfect introduction to the band as pulsating riffs pour into Ray Harkins‘ passionate vocal delivery. Guitars and drums whirlwind into a striking breakdown, pulling influences from peers like Unbroken and Strife. Bloodguilt have also announced that they will play their first show on March 8th at Los Angeles The Echo supporting The Barbarians Of California & Mad Peaceful with tickets available here.
