Johny Skullknuckles (The Kopek Millionaires / The Dead Beats / Goldblade) continues his musical adventures with The SoDa Poppers and their brand new…
It is with great sadness that we are reporting the sudden and unexpected death of No Use For A Name frontman Tony Sly.
Tony was active with his band since 1987 and had launched his solo career back in 2004. Sly released his final solo album, Sad Bear, in 2011, and had released a full length split with Joey Cape earlier this year. Fat Wreck Chords broke the news early on August 1, 2012 with no additional details, although these are expected soon.
Fat Mike commented:
“One of my dearest friends and favorite song writers has gone way too soon. Tony, you will be greatly missed.”
Tony Sly was just 41 years old.
Our condolences go to his family and friends.
