Ramones Receive Lifetime Achievement Grammy
The organizers of the Grammy Awards have announced that The Ramones will be receiving a lifetime achievement next year in Los Angeles on February 12, a day before the 53rd annual Grammy Awards ceremony is held. A formal acknowledgment will be made during the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards telecast
The Ramones will join Julie Andrews of The Sound of Music,Roy Haynes, Juilliard String Quartet, the Kingston Trio, Dolly Parton, and George Beverly Shea in the ceremony. Although, The Ramones stand out as they are the only lifetime achievement honourees who have never received a traditional Grammy award.
