Several years in the making, Medictation are a unique Trans-Atlantic project born from the ashes of Montreal’s The Sainte Catherines and Sunderland’s Leatherface. While both projects were laid to rest in 2012, the seeds of this musical combination began to sprout. Now, just over three years later, the fruits of that labour is finally available for general consumption through the fine folks at Paper + Plastick Records in the form of Warm Places.
We had a quick little conversation with Graeme Philliskirk and Hugo Mudie to discuss how this odd-ball collection of musicians formed Medictation.
Asian Man Records has signed Montreal band Powernap. They premiered a lyrics video for their first single called “Live Slow, Die Whenever.” Powernap is the new project of Sainte-Catherine’s (RIP) singer Hugo Mudie.

Quebec punkers The Sainte Catherines have released a brand new video for their track “D’You Guys Wanna Fuckin’ Party After This? No.” The track comes from the band’s recent full length, Fireworks, released last year on Anchorless/Union Records.

Quebec punks The Sainte Catherines has scheduled a video chat live from The Fest 9. The chat will be hosted by Yowie and be available on Sunday Oct 31st at 2pm PT/5pm ET. The Sainte Catherines are set to releases their upcoming album, Fireworks, on October 26, 2010 via Anchorless Records (US)/Stomp Records (CAN).
