San Diego punk band Rocket From The Crypt have reunited for a series of headline shows in early 2014. The tour covers Australia as well as some selected shows in the US. The group haven’t been active full time since 2005, but after playing Riot Fest and a few other shows last year, but have now decided to embark on a tour of their own. Most of the US shows are sold out already, so be quick if you want to catch them.

Converse Inc. have revealed plans for their second free concert series with this one taking place in San Francisco after their successful run at the 100 Club in London previously.
The five-day concert series begins on June 23rd and features 20 bands including Hot Chip, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Quicksand, Mastodon, Suicidal Tendencies, Rocket From The Crypt, Juicy J, Blackalicious, DIIV, Deltron 3030, Metz and more.
The festival is a build up to the grand opening of the Converse San Francisco retail store on June 28.

Rocket From The Crypt have announced that they will be hopping the pond for a quick batch of reunion tour dates. The band has also announced that they are in the beginning stages of getting a new record off the ground to be produced by Dave Grohl. The band previously released Live from Camp X-Ray over a decade ago on Vagrant Records.

The highly influential Rocket From The Crypt, who formed in 1989 and broke up in 2005, recently got together for a rare reunion performance on the show Yo Gabba Gabba – which is a kids show created by Christian Jacobs of The Aquabats. On the show, they perform a new number “He’s A Chef” which can be seen below and will air on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. this fall.
“He’s A Chef” will be available on a limited edition 7″ as part of an apparel and accessories collaboration between Volcom Clothing andYo Gabba Gabba. The 7″ that also features a collaboration between hip-hop/bizarro artist Biz Markie and Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne.
