Welsh pop punk band Neck Deep have announced they are heading into the studio to work with A Day To Remember frontman Jeremy McKinnon and a host of other guests. The band are working on the follow up to Wishful Thinking, their debut album which dropped earlier this year via Hopeless Records.
Neck Deep’s frontman Ben Barlow said this (to Alternative Press)about returning to the studio and the new record:
“When we started looking into recording album two we knew we wanted it to be bigger and better than Wishful Thinking. We wanted to step things up in a big way. Not only will we be stepping out of our comfort zone and finally recording outside of Seb’s (Barlow’s brother) bedroom,” he admitted, “but we’ll be working with someone we’ve always looked up to. When we initially spoke to Jeremy about producing the album his enthusiasm was what caught us; not only is he someone who knows what they’re doing, and has achieved everything we could hope for, but he’s just as stoked on the album as we are, and that’s a huge thing.”
The record is expected to drop at some point in 2015.

UK Pop Punkers Neck Deep have put the finishing touches to their upcoming full-length album, which is due to be released through Hopeless Records in the near future, following the band signing to the label in August.
Whilst there has been no official release date set, a post on the band’s Facebook page read:
“Our album ‘Wishful Thinking’ is finished. Mixed, mastered and delivered to our lovely new mates at Hopeless Records. We would like to take a moment and thank Seb Barlow, Ben Humphreys at Outhouse Studios, Jordan Valeriote and Troy Glessner for their amazing work in producing, recording, mixing and mastering this album in its various stages. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and we are very very excited for you lot all to hear it.
We are working on a release timeline and some bundle ideas now, but there will be new music, a new video and album pre-orders online in the not too distant future, along with tour news as well. Bare with us folks – we promise it will be worth the wait.”

Wrexham based quintet Neck Deep has announced that they have signed on with Hopeless Records. Band member Ben Barlow comments:
“Perfect match really isn’t it; an indy label with a strong ethos and message. We feel like we haven’t signed our souls away but are taking a huge step in the right direction. We know that together this is really going to take things to the next step for us as a band; with a label like Hopeless backing you, you know you’re going to be taken care of and treated well. We couldn’t be more stoked on the whole thing, it’s perfect.”
Bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans elaborates:
“It’s probably a terribly cliché thing to say, but signing to Hopeless is a dream come true for us… Being a part of the Hopeless family feels like a real honour; it’s such a massive step in our band’s career. Being associated with such a reputable label and the incredible records they put out has given us a sense of responsibility to live up to these high standards, but we have worked incredibly hard to create a debut album that we feel will match up. We literally can’t wait to release our record and do our best to make everyone proud and continue to maintain their standards of work. We are feeling very positive and excited about the future for our band, and everyone at Hopeless has been incredible in making us feel welcome and a part of the family.”
