Random Hand To Reissue Debut Album On Vinyl Via TNS Records

Random Hand COPRandom Hand are back! To celebrate TNS Records have decided to reissue their awesome debut album, Change Of Plan, on vinyl for the first time, marking ten years since it was first unleashed on the punk and ska loving scene. Listening back to Change Of Plan it reminds you how packed full of huge tunes it is, from the metal flavoured ska classic Play Some Ska, to the brooding grooves of Danger Makes Enemies. The album will be issued on the 9th February on bright red vinyl, lovingly presented with updated artwork by Simon Mitchell. Random Hand will play Manchester Punk Festival in April and will be playing a selection of songs from the record at festival and club shows across 2018

Svetlanas Announce European Tour Dates

Svetlanas Promo Oct 17Svetlanas have developed a reputation for being the most dangerous band in the world, and with good reason, they are considered enemies of the state in their native Russia, a status that has resulted in their exile in Milan, and anyone who has witnessed their confrontational live performances will testify that their reputation is more than deserved. Now they have announced tour dates that include Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK, including appearances at Manchester Punk Festival, Rebellion Festival and Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas.

Manchester Punk Festival Announces Latest Additions For 2018

MPF 18 Nov 17The Manchester Punk Festival has announced that legendary pop punk heroes The Copyrights and DIY hardcore punk rock veterans The Restarts have been added to the line-up, 2018 also sees The Spook School, The Baby Seals, Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man, Holiday, Start At Zero, Hoof, No Matter, Speedozer, Ducking Punches, Casual Nausea, Lucinda Livingstone and Millie Manders added to the line up. The Manchester Punk Festival is taking place between 19th and 21st April 2018 across a number of venues in Manchester City Centre.

Iron Chic Added To 2018 Manchester Punk Festival Line Up

MPF 18 Nov 17The Manchester Punk Festival has announced that Iron Chic have been added to the line-up, this band, that features members of Latterman, Small Arms Dealer and Get Bent, have made a huge impact on the punk scene since the release of Not Like This in 2010. 2018 also sees Lightyear Waterweed, Dead Neck, Captain Trips, Brassick, Apologies I Have None, Bobby Funk, Wadeye, Crumbs, Eat Defeat, Hot Mass, Goodbye Blue Monday, The Raging Nathans, Enda McCallan, Carl Moorcroft and Tim Loud added to the line up. Manchester Punk Festival Confirms More Bands For 2017

mpf-17-nov-16The Manchester Punk Festival has announced the addition of a whole host of exciting bands to an already stellar line up for MPF2017 in April next year. Returning to the UK for the first time in seven years will be punk rock legends Strike Anywhere, Australian hardcore punks Clowns have been added to the bill and they’ve also got local dub heroes Black Star Dub Collective adding something new to the line up. Nosebleed, Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man and The Deadites have returned after triumphant appearances at MPF2016, The Human Project and The Murderburgers, who both last appeared in 2015, have returned, with the latter band headlining the Thursday night. Visiting from mainland Europe are melodic punkers Despite Everything and Venturas, skacore specialists Thee Infidels, and also all the way from the USA El Escapado are playing for the first time. They are also welcoming two bands who both originate in Watford, in the form of Nervus and Great Cynics, as well as Eastbourne’s Brightr and Scotland’s Billy Liar.

To have a band like this involved in our event is a real privilege for us. We have grown up listening to their music and are proud to be able to welcome them on to the line up. They are a great example of our ethos and political attitudes, we learned from their lyrics growing up. They have an energy that not many can compare to and a belief in what they are singing about.

Manchester Punk Festival Announces Latest Acts For 2017

Canadian skate punk legends Belvedere will be returning to the UK for their first show in over five years, German tech-punkers Money Left To Burn, Danish singer-songwriter Stoj Snak and German ska-core kings BrainDead have also been added to the party. Grand Collapse and Petrol Girls will both be playing to add some fire to the performances, along with bands including Faintest IdeaMaid Of Ace and a rare appearance from AOS3 to get you moving.

Manchester Punk Festival Announces First Bands For 2017

mpf-17-1-0Philadelphia’s Paint It Black will be playing their first UK show in seven years at Manchester Punk Festival 2017. Paint It Black and its members embody what the festival is all about in terms of supporting grassroots music, keeping things ethical and addressing serious issues through music and community. Featuring members of other legendary bands such as Kid Dynamite, None More Black, Ceremony & Lifetime, Paint It Black are one of the most important and influential hardcore bands around. This will likely be one of two shows Paint It Black play in the UK. In addition to Paint It Black the Manchester Punk Festival also proud to welcome another legendary band in the form of New York’s The Toasters. This band have been a stalwart in the ska-punk scene for as long as most of us have been alive and it’s an honour to have them as part of the festival.

Manchester Punk Festival Confirms It Will Return for 2017

MPF 2017The Manchester Punk Festival will be taking place again in 2017, between 20th and 22nd April, across a number of venues in Manchester, UK’s City Centre. Alongside all the venues that were used in 2016, 2017 will see the addition of Gorilla as their largest venue yet. They will also be moving the acoustic stage from The Thirsty Scholar to Underdog. This will also mean more opportunity to enjoy the food and drink on offer at The Thirsty Scholar. The first announcement for the 2017 line up will be following shortly

Manchester Punk Festival 2016

MPFThe Manchester Punk Festival, brought to you by Manchester DIY promoters TNS Records, Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones has returned for a second year. The first Manchester Punk Festival was held in 2015 and is returning for a second year on 21-23 April 2016. Tickets are available for just £21 but there are less than 150 tickets remaining.

There will be over 60 bands playing across three days, with the majority playing on Friday and Saturday. The Thursday will be one small gig with very limited capacity. This years acts include The Flatliners, Oi Polloi and Sick On The Bus
