Yorkshire acoustic punk Louise Distras never seems to be off the road, and she has announced a new series of shows in the autumn. The 23 date tour will take her across the UK and includes shows in Germany, Austria and Belgium. Selected dates will feature Steve Ignorant of legendary UK punks Crass, and she is still out in support of her debut record Dreams From The Factory Floor, out now on Street Revolution Records.
Check out the full list of dates below.
UK punks Goldblade, fronted by John Robb (The Membranes), have been announced as the main support for Steve Ignorant’s April/May North American tour. “‘The Last Supper” tour will see Steve Ignorant perform songs from Crass’ 1977-1984 catalog accompanied by a full band. The tour will start on April 20 at Europa in Brooklyn, New York, with stops in Montreal, QC, Austin, TX, and San Francisco, California, only to come full circle for the final show at Santo’s Party House in New York. The complete list of dates featuring Goldblade is below.
Unfortunately Steve Ignorant and friends have had to postpone their planned upcoming tour of the US and Canada due to a problem with their Visas. As of March 7th the band have not been given Visas, with the first date only 3 days away.
The band have promised that all dates will be rescheduled as soon as Visas have been confirmed. The former Crass front man posted an official statement on his blog saying:
“I’m really really gutted to have to let you all know that we have to reschedule our USA and Canadian gigs. There’s a delay with the issue of the visas we require to enter the USA. We hope it will all be sorted soon but we will NOT be able to make the scheduled gigs.
I would ask everyone to please hold onto your tickets and give us about a week to announce new dates. We will reschedule as soon as possible and tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates, however, if you think ‘fuck it, I want my money back’, then do that and I will completely understand.”

The tour dates are below.
Against Me! frontman, Tom Gabel, announced on his blog that he will be interviewing Steve Ignorant of anarcho-punk band, Crass, for Cheese Magazine.
I just got an email from our UK publicist asking if I want to interview Steve Ignorant from Crass for the magazine Big Cheese. How fucking cool is that!!!!! What questions should I ask him?
Further details for the interview have yet to be released. Tom Gabel’s blog can be found here where in his latest entry he also talks about Terry Jones’ controversial book burning. Being originally from Gainesville, Florida, and a former “teenage anarchist” Tom has some points he would like to get across to his readers.
Against Me! are currently on tour in Canada.
Vice Magazine recently interviewed Penny Rimbaud and Steve Ignorant of legendary anarcho-punk band Crass. The band’s history, beliefs, the band’s demise, and legal issues concerning remastered CDs of theirs are all covered in the interview.
When he [John Loder] died, Southern had a lot of trouble coping with it all and during that time I spent a lot of time worrying about what the fuck was going to happen to our material because with John there’d never been any formalities, nothing had ever been signed, who owned what, what owned who. There was nothing to go by. What I was really worried about was the receivers being called in. I thought, “Well, if Southern goes down, they’re going to go in and all the fucking stuff’s going to get nicked. I want to know what’s ours so we can have it.” I sort of made halfhearted attempts, but really the place was such a fucking mess that I thought, “OK, I’ll back off and let them sort whatever they need to sort out, and then we’ll go from there.” That coincided with trying to stop the house being taken over by a lot of property investors, so I got very embroiled in a big legal battle.
Other members of Crass declined to be interviewed.
Southern Records will be reissuing Crass’ The Feeding of the Five Thousand, Stations of the Crass, and Penis Envy. The releases will be restored, repackaged, include unreleased tracks, and artwork by Gee Vaucher. Southern Records will also be publishing Steve Ignorant’s autobiography The Rest is Propaganda.
