Wolverhampton, UK alt rock outfit Dearist have posted a video for their track Fix. The song will feature on the quintet’s debut LP This House Has No Windows, due for release on October 23rd via Close To Home Records. Frontman Adam Binder had this to say about the track:
“Fix was one of the last tracks we wrote for the album…It was one of those songs that all flows out in the first sitting. For the album I would pretty much have the whole rhythm guitar and little vocal bits written for a song before I showed the band, but that could sometimes take a week or so of fiddling with a song until I was happy but this was ready to show the guys within an hour or so. The guys would then come along and put their parts on top and make structural changes here and there. That process was pretty quick as well. I’m not even sure Tucker had heard the song for more than ten minutes and we started tracking his parts on top. Those are the best kind of songs, well…the most satisfying to write anyways.”

Wolverhampton, UK based alt rock band Dearist have announced that their debut LP, This House Has No Windows will be released on October 23rd via Close to Home Records. Ahead of the drop date, the band are streaming the lead single Leecher and front man Adam Binder has said this about the song:
“This is one of the first songs we wrote for the album…I had just rediscovered Deja Entendu by Brand New and I was trying really hard to write a song in the style of Jesse Lacey, so for a long time the working title was actually ‘Jesse’. It didn’t really turn out like Brand New at all in the end! It’s also one of the tracks that [guitarist, Chris] Tucker sings on too and there’s a really cool call and response section in the chorus. “
