Today’s update is a doozy of an update with photos from two different cities covering a wide variety of bands and styles.

Streetlight Manifesto and Reel Big Fish have announced plans fora four week winter tour that continues their summer tour together. The tour kicks off November 21 in Lancaster, PA and sees the bands winding throughout small markets across the country for four weeks. Joining them will be Rodeo Ruby Love and Lionize.

Streetlight Manifesto has spent much of 2011 touring the country in support of their previous releases. Frontman Tomas Kalnoky is set to release the album Streetlight Lullabies on November 22, 2011 under the name Toh Kay, which features 10 Streetlight Manifest songs stripped-down to their acoustic bones. The band is currently working on their next album, tentatively scheduled for a late spring 2012 release.

Streetlight Manifesto and Reel Big Fish have announced a co-headline tour together this winter. The bands will be embarking on a substantial US tour as a continuation to their co-headline summer tour, along with Streetlight Manifesto‘s labelmates Lionize and Rodeo Ruby Love. The two supporting acts will be documenting the tour on AbsolutePunk.net with photos and videos.
Toh Kay, the alter ego of Streetlight Manifesto frontman Tomas Kalnoky, will be releasing his debut solo album, titled Streetlight Lullabies on November 22, 2011 via Pentimento Music Company.
The album features 10 Streetlight Manifesto songs stripped down to their acoustic bones, offering a rare glimpse into Toh Kay‘s creative process.
Toh Kay‘s first release, You By Me: Volume 1, came out last year and was a split with friend and labelmate Dan Potthast and featured each covering, rearranging, and changing five of each other’s songs for the album.
Streetlight Lullabies was recorded in May of 2011 at The Pentimento Recording Company, the label’s in-house studio in Southern California. The album features sparse, personal arrangements of Streetlight Manifesto favorites such as Watch it Crash, The Big Sleep and A Better Place, A Better Time.
Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger have been forced to reschuled their seven-date tour of Brazil and Argentina that was previously scheduled to take place from June 22nd to July 2nd.
Unfortunately Aaron Barrett (lead singer of Reel Big Fish) was rushed to the hospital this week after suffering severe stomach pains which turned out to be acute appendicitis. Barrett was the rushed him into emergency surgery the remove the ruptured organ. While Barrett remains in the hospital, he is doing well and beginning the recovery process. However it will not be possible for him to travel within the next 10 days and therefore they have been forced to reschedule the tour for October. The new dates are below.
Barrett will be ready to play later dates of their North American Tour starting July 6th with Streetlight Manifesto in Texas.
Reel Big Fish are currently supporting their recent album, a 3 Disc extended version of “A Best of Us for The Rest of Us” which was released today through Rock Ridge Music.
Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto have announced plans for a US tour together this summer. The tour kicks off on July 6th in Houston, Texas and runs until August 12th at Niagra, New York.
The current list of tour dates are below, however more are expected to be announced soon.
Terrible Things have been forced to drop off the final leg of their tour with Streetlight Manifesto. The band’s last show on the tour was last week on February 18th at the Triple Rock in Minnesota. They won’t be able to make any of the remaining tour dates.
We’re heading home from our tour. Although it was a tough decision, some personal issues and setbacks we suffered early in the tour made our minds up last night. Our apologies to all of you coming out. We’ll find a way to make it up to you. We’re still looking forward to other shows in March and we’ll be touring again this summer for Warped.
Streetlight Manifesto have announced the full itinerary for their upcoming 2011 North American tour. The tour begins on February 10th and runs through till March 13th. The dates are below.

Today we’re very excited to announce that the legendary New Jersey ska act Streetlight Manifesto will be making their way back through Canada for the first time since 2006. Joining them on the tour will be Terrible Things (featuring members of Taking Back Sunday, Coheed & Cambria and Hot Rod Circuit), A Loss for Words and Lionize.
The tour will take place this February as Streetlight Manifesto continues to support their recent covers album, 99 Songs of Revolution Vol. 1. Although, considering the band will be spending the rest of the year in the studio, chances are we’ll be hearing some new songs on the tour as well.
While the full itinerary has yet to be announced, we are pleased to announce three of the Canadian tour dates alongside Union Events. First, on February 19th they will be playing at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Afterwards they will head West and play Edmonton, Alberta on February 21st at the Starlite Room and then they will visit the Republik in Calgary, Alberta on February 22nd.

New Jersey’s ska-punk act Streetlight Manifesto have posted a large update on their MySpace page including promise of a new album; one that features original music this time:

We’re in the middle of booking tons and tons of tours for 2011 and we’ll be hitting many, many places we’ve never been, both in our country, our neighboring countries and as far away as the other side of the world. So, yeah, stay tuned, we will be announcing dates as soon as we confirm them.
Also, it appears that Thomas Kalnoky, (Streetlight’s singer, under the name Toh Kay) and Dan Potthast will be releasing a split LP on November 16th via The Pentimento Music Company, in which they reinterpret 5 of each other’s songs (each) with acoustic instruments. The CD will be available via the RISC Store here.

Streelight Manifesto just released their first CD in their planned nine-disc cover series, 99 Songs of Revolution while The Wonder Years are supporting their recent release, The Upsides which was released on No Sleep Records earlier this year.
Labels and their bands typically keep the mud slinging behind closed doors, but with Streetlight Manifesto‘s latest album, 99 Songs of Revolution: Vol. I ready to hit this week, tensions have reached an all time high between the band and their label, Victory Records. In their latest news post, the band explains their frustrations about their label making decisions without consulting the band, and how fans can support Streetlight without aiding their label.

Fan favourite ska-punk act Streelight Manifesto have unveiled the first song from their upcomingcovers album, 99 Songs Of A Revolution. The first track is a cover of Squirrel Nut Zippers song Hell and it can be downloaded here.
The album is due out March 16th on Victory Records and is a collection of reworked and re-recorded songs showcasing the band’s renditions of classics by Paul Simon, Bad Religion, The Postal Service, NOFX, The Dead Milkmen and many more.
