Minus The Bear recently performed acoustically for the Nervous Engine Session video series. The set includes the tracks “My Time” from their Dangerbird Records debut, OMNI, released last year.
Minus The Bear have released a brand new live EP titled Hold Me Down for free download. The EP was recorded at their label’s studio (Dangerbird), and features tracks, b-sides, and remixes originating from recording sessions surrounding the recording and writing sessions of 2010′s OMNI.
Seattle’s Minus The Bear have announced their fall and winter touring plans that will see them on the road right until the end of the year.
They will start with a string of tour dates in the western half of the US- including an appearance at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans on October 31st followed by a three-week run with Jimmy Eat World in Europe. After that they will continue their headlining trek out east beginning November 26th in Atlanta, GA. The dates are below.
The band is touring in continued support of their latest album Omni, which debuted in the Top 50 of the Billboard Top 200 and is available now on Dangerbird Records.
Minus the Bear have announced details for a new headlining US tour. Beginning October 18th in Eugene, OR, the Seattle based quintet will head out in continued support of their latest album, OMNI, which was released earlier this year.
The tour will also include a performance at this year’s Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans on October 31st.
In addition, Minus the Bear will join Jimmy Eat World for a European tour this November. The current list of tour dates, which more to be announced shortly, are below.
Hot on the heels of their recent full length, OMNI (on Dangerbird Records), Minus The Bear visited myspace HQ to record a free live EP as part of the Myspace Transmissions sessions. The session includes five tracks, featuring the popular single, “Into The Mirror.”

MTVU has posted a new video from Oregon’s Minus The Bear‘s recently released album, OMNI. The first video single is the album’s opener, “My Time.” OMNI marks Minus The Bear’s first album since breaking with Suicide Squeeze Records and signing with Dangerbird Records (USA) and Maplemusic Recordings (CAN).
Seattle’s Minus the Bear have announced plans to kick off their 6-week national headlining tour next Monday, April 19th in Spokane, WA. The tour is in support of the band’s highly anticipated new album, OMNI, which hits stores on May 4th through Danger Bird Records. The dates are below.
In addition, the band will perform a free show in Seattle, WA at Sonic Boom Record’s Capitol Hill store for this year’s Record Store Day (April 17th.)

Minus The Bear have announced plans for an extensive North American spring tour. In support of their upcoming album, OMNI, the Seattle-based quintet will embark on a six week trek that kicks off in their home state of Washington on April 16th and concludes with another WA performance at Sasquatch. Seattle’s Minus the Bear is previewing the first track off of their much anticipated followup to 2007′s Planet of Ice. The new album is titled Omni and is scheduled for a May 4, 2010 release on Dangerbird Records. The album marks the band’s first album that will not be released on Suicide Squeeze Records.
Seattle’s Minus The Bear have announced that their next album will see release through Dangerbird Records rather than their long time home, Suicide Squeeze Records. Bassist Cory Murchy commented on the move:
After months of looking under rocks and in dark caves, we’ve found a nice place to nest with Dangerbird Records. … They are a label of artists for artists and we are very excited to work with their creative minds to continue to bring you quality craftsmanship and the very best we can provide for our fans, both old and the newly educated.”
Minus The Bear self-released the digital single, Into The Mirror, last October.
