Canada’s Hot Hot Heat has released a new video for the track “21@12.” The video is over seven minutes long despite the track’s run time being just shy of four minutes, so the band has included plenty of additional content. The song comes from their latest record, Future Breeds, released today on Dangerbird (CAN)/Dine Alone Records (US).
Hot on the heels of their recent full length, OMNI (on Dangerbird Records), Minus The Bear visited myspace HQ to record a free live EP as part of the Myspace Transmissions sessions. The session includes five tracks, featuring the popular single, “Into The Mirror.”

MTVU has posted a new video from Oregon’s Minus The Bear‘s recently released album, OMNI. The first video single is the album’s opener, “My Time.” OMNI marks Minus The Bear’s first album since breaking with Suicide Squeeze Records and signing with Dangerbird Records (USA) and Maplemusic Recordings (CAN).
Maritime, the Milwaukee band that was born out of the ashes of The Promise Ring in 2003, have signed to Dangerbird Records. The band, composed of the two founding member of The Promise Ring Davey von Bohlen and Dan Didier, is preparing its new effort and will perform this Friday, April 30 at University of Wisconsin, in Madison, WI.
Recently, Maritime took part in The Onion AV Club’s “Undercover” series, where 25 bands reinterpret 25 classic indie and alternative rock songs. Their take on the Depeche Mode staple, ”Enjoy the Silence;” the video can be seen below.
Victoria’s Hot Hot Heat have announced that they have signed with Dangerbird Records in the US and Dine Alone Records in Canada. The signing marks a break from former label Sire/Warner.
Their upcoming album will be titled Future Breeds and is expected this summer.
Minus The Bear have announced plans for an extensive North American spring tour. In support of their upcoming album, OMNI, the Seattle-based quintet will embark on a six week trek that kicks off in their home state of Washington on April 16th and concludes with another WA performance at Sasquatch. Before the US tour, Minus The Bear will stop by SXSW with a five showcase stint next week. The full SXSW schedule and tour dates are below.

Seattle’s Minus the Bear is previewing the first track off of their much anticipated followup to 2007′s Planet of Ice. The new album is titled Omni and is scheduled for a May 4, 2010 release on Dangerbird Records. The album marks the band’s first album that will not be released on Suicide Squeeze Records.
Seattle’s Minus The Bear have announced that their next album will see release through Dangerbird Records rather than their long time home, Suicide Squeeze Records. Bassist Cory Murchy commented on the move:
After months of looking under rocks and in dark caves, we’ve found a nice place to nest with Dangerbird Records. … They are a label of artists for artists and we are very excited to work with their creative minds to continue to bring you quality craftsmanship and the very best we can provide for our fans, both old and the newly educated.”
Minus The Bear self-released the digital single, Into The Mirror, last October.
