The Atom Age Streams Upcoming Full Length

East Bay’s The Atom Age has launched a full album stream of their upcoming release, The Hottest Thing That’s Cool, over on DyingScene. Give the full disc a spin here.

The album, which will be released on Asian Man Records, is due out on May 29th. The record can be pre-ordered here and the the first 100 orders come with the band’s first release, Kill Surf City, on vinyl.

NOFX has announced the release of a brand new two-track 7″ featuring brand new songs “My Stepdad’s a Cop and My Stepmom’s a Domme” and “She Didn’t Lose Her Baby.” The 7″ is set for a June 19, 2012 release via their home for life, Fat Wreck Chords. Rockford, IL’s Joie De Vivre has announced a string of European tour dates. The tour ill kick off on June 13 in Prague, and wrap up on July 9th in germany. Labelmates Football, etc. will offer support for most of the UK dates. The band continues to support their new album, We’re All Better Than This, due out in June on Count Your Lucky Stars Records.

The Gaslight Anthem has revealed release details for their upcoming Mercury Records debut. The album, Handwritten, will include 11 tracks, which can be viewed below along with album artwork. The album is set to drop July 24, 2012.

The band also announced that today, starting at 9:00pm fans will be treated to a Livestream of the Music Hall of Williamsburg show presented by Vans.

I Call Fives Detail Debut Full Length

Topshelf Records & No Sleep Records Announce Split Compilation

Southern California based No Sleep Records and New England’s Topshelf Records have announced that they will release their first joint CD compilation, Topshelf vs No Sleep: 2,995 Miles Between Us. The disc will feature new, unreleased and rare music from Pianos Become The Teeth, No Trigger, Moving Mountains and La Dispute to name a few and will be available on May 22, exclusively at select Hot Topic. No Sleep president Chris Hansen comments:

“I am honored to be involved in such an amazing community, and to be surrounded by so many friends all over the country and the world,” “ This collab between No Sleep and Topshelf showcases just that, and hopefully this will be one of many things that are done to further bring it all together into the new world order that is our world. Enjoy and more to come!”

Topshelf owner Seth Decoteau adds:

“We are within a community of friends who respect each other and who also happen to run record labels that support each other… this project is one example of the support that we give each other. It has been ongoing for quite a while. We are beyond excited to have it surface and everyone should expect more things between the labels in the future.”

Orange County, CA hardcore punk veterans Death By Stereo have announced the dates for their upcoming headlining tour of Canada and the U.S. They are touring in support of their sixth full-length studio album, “Black Sheep of the American Dream”, which was released onViking Funeral Records late last month.

Vocalist Efrem Schulz talked about the tour:

“This North American tour has been a long time coming and we can’t wait to get back out and see all of the DBS family out there on the road. We’ll also get back to Canada on this tour for some poutine and great beer, and where the fans have always been great to us. We are excited to get out and play new songs and get thrashed with all our friends to the old jams,. The reaction to the new record has been fantastic and fans loved the bank heist we did in the ‘Growing Numb’ video. We even got a surprise appearance from our good friend and legendary pro skater Fabrizio Santos! Can’t wait to get out on the road and play it live for everyone. DEATH FOR LIFE!”

Video: Nations Afire (Ex. Rise Against, Ignite, Death By Stereo) – I Am An Army

Nations Afire, a new SoCal band featuring guitarist Chris Chasse formerly of Rise Against (Siren Song of the Counter Culture ‘04 and The Sufferer & the Witness ’06), vocalist/guitarist Nik Hill and bassist Brett Rasmussen (Ignite) and drummer Todd Hennig (who played drums for Death By Stereo on three albums), have premiered a new video for their first single, “I Am An Army.” It can be seen below.

The track comes from their forthcoming debut album, The Ghosts We Will Become, which was recorded at the legendary Blasting Room Studios in Fort Collins, CO.

Nations Afire have some local shows booked in Southern California in May/June and are in the process of booking a European tour for August.
