Prawn Release Documentary For Upcoming EP

Emo group Prawn has released a documentary detailed the recording process leading up to their upcoming EP. The band recorded the disc with Greg Dunn (Moving Mountains) who also assumed mixing duties. The band comments:

“Holla. Over the past few months our best friend Scott Davis has been following us around and filming our every move. He compiled all the footage into a 12-minute documentary detailing the process of recording our new record and preparing for our first European/UK tour. If you want, we’ve included a donation link to help fund our tour for Europe. Any donations would greatly be appreciated and we’d be beyond thankful, but either way, we hope you enjoy the film.”

The EP will be released by Topshelf Records this summer on July 17, 2012. Watch the documentary below.

New York four-piece Sirs has released a teaser video for their upcoming debut LP, dueout in July via Topshelf Records. The album will follow the band’s 2011 split release with the UK’s run, WALK!.

Video: Nations Afire (Ex. Rise Against, Ignite, Death By Stereo) – I Am An Army

Nations Afire, a new SoCal band featuring guitarist Chris Chasse formerly of Rise Against (Siren Song of the Counter Culture ‘04 and The Sufferer & the Witness ’06), vocalist/guitarist Nik Hill and bassist Brett Rasmussen (Ignite) and drummer Todd Hennig (who played drums for Death By Stereo on three albums), have premiered a new video for their first single, “I Am An Army.” It can be seen below.

The track comes from their forthcoming debut album, The Ghosts We Will Become, which was recorded at the legendary Blasting Room Studios in Fort Collins, CO.

Nations Afire have some local shows booked in Southern California in May/June and are in the process of booking a European tour for August.

Say Anything Announce “Making Of” Documentary

Say Anything has announced that the emotional indie outfit will be releasing a documentary on the making of their recent full length, Anarchy My Dear (Equal Vision Records). The film was directed by Chris Phelps.

St. Catharines, Ontario’s The Lucky Ones has released a brand new music video for the song “St. Paul & Queen” from their recent full length, Heartbreak, Hangovers and Punk Rock which was released this past February through Stumble Records. The fourteen track album was recorded with well-known local producer Steve Rizun (The Creepshow, The Flatliners) and follows their debut 2010 album The Booze Sessions.

Ignite Teaser Trailer Foe Live DVD

Orange County’s hardcore act Ignite has premiered a trailer for their upcoming DVD, Our Darkest Days Live, which is due out June 19th.

The DVD features 21 songs performed live, a behind the scenes documentary of the band recording their 2006 album Our Darkest Days, as well as several music videos. The live performance was shot in Leipzig, Germany in 2008 when they were on tour with Terror, Strung Out, Death Before Dishonor and BurnThe8Track.
