Hopeless Records and Sub City announce the vinyl reissue of Thrice’s album The Illusion Of Safety which was originally released in 2002. This past February marked the records 10 year anniversary of its release. Fans will be able to choose between a standard and deluxe one-time re-pressing. The limited quantity deluxe pressing allows fans to choose between 3 colors; coke bottle clear, white or translucent red pressed on 180 gram vinyl. This deluxe version will also include a download card of the album. The first 500 sold will contain inserts signed by the band! A standard version will also be available in stores and online on June 19th.
A portion of the proceeds earned by the artists and Hopeless/ Sub City Records from the sale of this release will be donated to the non-profit organization A Place Called Home.

Former Planes Mistaken for Stars front man Gared O’Donnell will take his new project, Hawks and Doves, on the road this June with Gainesville’s The Future Now.
O’Donnel has enlisted Ryan Parrish (Darkest Hour) and Chad Darby (Chris Wollard & The Ship Thieves) to fill out his band for the tour. They are supporting their debut LP “Year One” from No Idea Records while The Future Now‘s most recent effort is a 7″ co-released by Sound Study Recordings and Kiss of Death Records titled, “Hangman / The Runaway.” That, along with their debut full length, can be downloaded for free here.
New Jersey’s pop-punk veterans The Bouncing Souls have released the full schedule for their North American summer tour alongside The Menzingers and Luther.
The tour kicks off on June 12th in Washington, DC and wraps up on August 4th in Boston.

Female fronted indie-pop group Metric has announced a handful of UK tour dates. The band is currently gearing up for their brand new full length, Synthstica, which is due out June 12, 2012 and will follow 2009′s Fantasies.
Thrice have added two additional dates on their farewell spring tour. The band’s final shows in Anaheim and Los Angeles sold out within hours but fans will now have two more chances to the see the band in Anaheim and Santa Ana, California.
After thirteen years together and eight full-length releases to their name, Thrice will begin their final tour together on May 4 in San Diego, California. Supporting them on all dates will be Animals As Leaders and O’Brother. The entire schedule for the tour is below.

To commemorate their induction this year into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to release a digital-only EP, entitled We Salute You, on May 1st via Warner Bros. Records.
The six-song EP is full of other Hall of Fame inductees: The Ramones, Iggy & The Stooges, Neil Young, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, and Dion and the Belmonts.
