The Story So Far has launched an album stream of their new split 7” with Stick to Your Guns, due out June 18, 2013. The split follows their recent full length, What You Don’t See, released back in March on Pure Noise Records.
On August 23rd, Dutch punk band Antillectual will release Perspectives & Obejectives via Lockjaw records,their first full length release since 2010′s Start From Scratch. Pre orders start on June 21st, and just like previous releases the band will be making the tracks available for streaming prior to the official release on a 1-song-per-week basis.
Ahead of the album release, the band will be supporting Propaghandi on selected European dates in addition to putting on a self promoted release festival in their hometown of Nijmegen. For more details on this, check out the bands website.
Defend Yourself, the first proper Sebadoh album in 14 years will be released on September 17th, 2013 via Joyful Noise Recordings.
Lou Barlow and the boys have also released 5 tracks ahead of the full album, collectively known as the Secret EP and it can currently be streamed on their bandcamp page.
San Francisco’s Great Apes have confirmed their new full length will drop in Fall 2013 via Asian Man Recordsand Side With Us Records.
The record, Thread, is a loose concept album where each song is a story based around a different person, derived from interviews and conversations with friends.

Hardcore label Bullet Tooth has released a brand new free summer sampler. The compilation includes songs by Affiance, Throw The Fight, Death Ray Vision, and The Paramedic to name a few.
Ahead of a June 4th release, Houston punks Driver Friendly have made their entire new EP Peaks and Valleys available for streaming on their label, Hopeless Records youtube channel.
The 6 track EP contains 3 previously unreleased tracks and 3 new songs, recorded with producer CJ Eiriksson (U2, The Rocket Strummers). Vocalist Tyler Welsh had this to say about the new EP:
“(we tried) to make sure every melody was memorable, every lyric was meaningful, and every individual part contributed to the greater whole.” Welsh continues, “We always want to push ourselves, musically and lyrically, in order to never repeat something that we or other bands have done before…”
Driver Friendly are on tour this summer, and are also appearing at the 2013 Vans Warped Tour.
The Michigan native hardcore band True Love has joined the ranks of Mayfly Records, and will print their debut, A Floral Note, later this summer on 7″ vinyl. It is currently streaming (and also available for download) on Bandcamp.
The band features current and former members of Face Reality, Damages, and Freedom, and should appeal to fans of American Nightmare, The Hope Conspiracy, and Carry On.
Chicago pop-punk outfit Real Friends has launched a full album stream. The stream features their new album, Put Yourself Back Together, set to drop next week.
Long Island, NY’s Iron Chic is streaming a song from their new EP titled Spooky Action over at Alternative Press. The song is the Ramones’ Bonzo Goes to Bitburg.
Iron Chic wrote and recorded their Spooky Action EP last year and initially offered it via Bandcamp. The band is now a part of Bridge Nine Records and the label will be presenting the EP digitally and on vinyl. These releases will serve as a precursor to the band’s upcoming label debut due out later this year.
Bridge Nine Records’ version is available digitally today and physically on June 25, 2013. Order the Spooky Action EP at the B9Store now.
A six song split between The Brokedowns and Vacation Bible School can now be streamed exclusively on the Jaded In Chicago website. The split is available for purchase from It’s Alive Recordsin 7″ vinyl format. Adam Alive had this to say about the release:
