Woah, explosions AND monster trucks on the same cover? Well consider me sold. Check out this four song EP by Hamilton, ON southern rockers Monster Truck for a fast ride, just make sure you hold on tight! And if you make a pit-stop, you can always donate! Vroooooooom!!! (just couldn’t help myself)
Here’s something a little different, instrumental rock. It’s nice and low key, and very well layered and envisioned, so check it out if you’re in the mood for something to challenge the mind.
I know I’m a little late to the party on this one (the party really kicked off a couple days ago), but this one’s worth pointing out regardless of how many others have already pointed fingers. So, what is there to say that hasn’t been said before? Well, not much, other than that this is one of the strongest straight up punk rock debuts you’ll hear in a while (if you like No Idea Records stuff then you’ll love this). I’ll stop writing now so that you can go and get downloading…
Ghost Robot Ninja Bear recently released their most recent EP, and it’s just as good as the last. The eccentrically named group includes ex-members of Nakatomi Plaza, and plays a brand of scratchy, whole-hearted punk rock heavy on edgy riffs and a steady bass line. Definitely bodes well for their inevitable full length.

Woah, what an inspired album name, it really gets to the point. Thankfully though, if you like harder mainstream punk rock, then all seven songs on the Californian five piece’s debut deserve being mentioned in the title. Anyway, its only fitting that an album title that simple should have minimal accompanying commentary, so that’s it for me, download away!
I reviewed this album a while back – fairly favourably I might add – but now it’s available for free download via the label’s site. Rather than go on about it, I’ll simply link you to my review.
Jamendo has been getting some really strong new additions lately. Letmein’s latest work is just another finely produced example of fantastically simple punk-rock. This is a must have.
More German punk, but this time it’s a little harder than last post. Black Nivea walk that touchy line between punk and rock. This Time For Real is a pretty solid outing, and while it can feel a little repetitive sometimes, their vocalist sounds passionate, and they sound like they love what they’re doing.
For today’s second album we have some pretty catchy pop-punk with a little but of that 80′s vibe thing going on. It’s a good EP that’s easy to get into and worth staying around for each track. Originally released in 2007, now it’s free to you thanks to our friends over at ifyoumakeit.co.
