This is a pleasant little surprise. Ohio’s Mixtapes subscribe to an infectious brand of pop-punk that plays off the strengths of boasting both smooth female vocals and a gruff male counterpart. It’s a very “fun” album, a little sarcastic, and altogether charming. Think of them as a Lemuria with a little less of an indie influence. The band has opted to release their debut for free through the filehost megashares.
